Dan Rainville (b. 1993) is a visual journalist currently based in the Mid-Atlantic region. He studied Film & Media Arts at Temple University in Philadelphia, graduating in the spring of 2016.
At the beginning of his senior year, Dan found himself in the student newspaper office where he was first introduced to the world of photojournalism. From that point on, he began picking up as many weekly photo assignments as he could while photographing the streets of Philadelphia in the evenings and on weekends.
After finishing school, Dan returned home and began freelancing and applying to internships when he accepted a full-time position at the The Evening Sun (USA TODAY Network) in his hometown of Hanover, Pa.
In his first year at the Sun, he was part of a two person visual department that was awarded first place for best use of photography and best use of video by the Pennsylvania News Association
He is currently available for freelance assignments and is willing to traveling.
